The Pacuare has been named one of the top 10 river trips in the world. The rainforests that surround the river are breathtaking and they are home to exotic species such as jaguars, monkeys, ocelots, and a very large number of birds.
The towns of La Fortuna, Turrialba and Sarapiqui are the key staging points on Rios Pacuare, Revantazon, Coribici and Sarapiqui. Quepos outfitters run trips to the Naranjo and Parrita.
